Welcome to the Control-M User Group forums.

The idea here is to provide user based question and answer support of the Control-M product line. Although the product it self is stable (IMHO) like all applications there is a need for assistance/troubleshooting.

The message board is broken into sections to help get to the area of issue and in turn users with the best knowledge in that area can address questions. Even so, there is always room for improvement and I encourage any suggestions to simplify this board. So please don't hesitate to make a suggestion. This includes the website too.

Registering... if you have not registered yet, it is required if you intend to post a question or reply. It's a shame that it has to come to this, but in order to keep the "riff raff" (ad posters, spammers, etc.) out of the mix, this is the only way to deter them. As an added precaution I suggest when registering (or after) to check off the option to "hide" your email address from users. This will be an extra level of eliminating the spammers from getting to you.

Posting... when you begin a new topic, make the subject clear and to the point of your concern/question. This will assist you in getting your answer/reply by the most knowledgeable individual(s). In other words, don't start a topic with the "Subject: HELP!!!! ". This subject isn't clearly stating what your problem is. Be brief, list your version of Control-M, operating system and if necessary your db version too. Example would be: "Subject: EM GUI is not responding to sysout, log, etc. - v6.2.01 on AIX 5.3 using Sybase". Others that are using AIX and Sybase will be able to pick this out quickly and assist you more effectively.

This is all new and our hopes are to bring together a group of knowledgeable individuals to help each other make our world a better place.

Thank you
