monitoring a folder

Hi, I have a job which is monitoring a folder which is regulalry getting files, if we don't get files for more than an hour, control M should send a mail. How can we achieve this? please advice.

If I understand you correctly, I would use the ctmfw <path/file> CREATE 1 1 1 1 60
Run it cyclic every 60 min from end of job execution. In STEPS tab in the on statement for COMPSTAT=7 do mail "no files arrive in the past hour...blah blah blah", cut a ticket, use automated notification system, etc. (depending on your environment).
